Terms of Service

Note: This is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the Spanish original available at /es/terminos. In case of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails. These terms are governed by Colombian law.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Predikt (the "Platform") you accept these Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree with any provision you must not use the Platform.

These terms form a binding contract between you (the "User") and Predikt App 2026, a brand based in Bogotá, Colombia, operator of the Platform.

2. Nature of the service

IMPORTANT — Predikt is a free entertainment service, NOT a gambling platform.

Predikt is a web application that lets users:

Create and join private pools with friends, family or colleagues
Predict scores of FIFA World Cup 2026 matches
Earn points for correct picks and compete in pool rankings

Predikt does NOT involve:

❌ Wagering with real money
❌ Cash prizes awarded by the Platform
❌ Commissions or financial intermediation
❌ Odds, lines, or regulated betting systems

The Platform is free to use. Any economic arrangement between users of a private pool (prizes among friends, etc.) is strictly outside the Platform and the exclusive responsibility of those participants.

3. Eligibility

To use Predikt you must:

Be at least 13 years old
Provide a valid email address you control
Accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy
Use your real identity (no impersonation)

Only one account per person is allowed. Duplicate or fictitious accounts will be suspended.

4. User accounts

4.1 Registration and security

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential
You are responsible for all activity on your account
If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately

4.2 Truthfulness

You agree to provide accurate information and keep it updated. False information may result in immediate suspension.

4.3 Suspension and cancellation

We reserve the right to suspend or cancel accounts that:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or abusive activity
Harass, insult or attack other users
Attempt to compromise the Platform's security
Use bots, scripts or unauthorized automation

5. Acceptable use

When using Predikt you agree to:

✅ You may:

Create private pools with people you know
Share your invite link/code with whoever you want
Comment in a friendly way and enjoy the World Cup
Report abusive behavior to the pool admin or superadmin

❌ You may NOT:

Create multiple accounts to participate several times in the same pool
Share your password or transfer your account to third parties
Try to hack, exploit or access other users' data
Use the Platform to harass, discriminate or insult
Post obscene, offensive, illegal, or rights-infringing content
Scrape, mass-copy or commercially use without authorization
Impersonate real people or organizations
Promote real-money gambling or gaming services
Use the Platform for activities illegal in your jurisdiction

Breach may result in suspension without notice.

6. Private pools

6.1 Admin role

The user who creates a pool acts as administrator and is responsible for:

Approving or rejecting join requests
Maintaining a respectful environment
Reporting issues to Predikt

6.2 Responsibility over economic arrangements

If pool participants agree on cash prizes among themselves, Predikt has no responsibility for those arrangements. The Platform does not mediate, custody, or distribute funds.

6.3 Data visible to other participants

When you join a pool, other participants can see:

Your username and avatar
Your predictions (only after each phase deadline)
Your position in the pool ranking

Your email is never visible to other users.

7. Points and results

7.1 Point calculation

Points are calculated automatically per the rules published on the Platform (0/5/7/10 system + knockout bonus + special predictions).

7.2 Source of results

Official results are obtained from external sources (football-data.org, FIFA). While we make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we are not responsible for errors in data obtained from third parties.

7.3 Manual correction

If we detect errors in results, the superadmin may correct them manually. Points are recalculated automatically and affected users are notified by email.

7.4 Final decisions

The superadmin's decisions on disputes related to results, points or rule application are final.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 Platform IP

All code, design, the "Predikt" mark, logos, text and visual elements of the Platform are owned by or licensed to Predikt App 2026 and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

8.2 Third-party IP

Names, crests and flags of national teams are owned by their respective federations and FIFA. Their use in Predikt is for informational and identification purposes only, without intent of affiliation with FIFA or the federations.

Predikt is NOT affiliated with, associated with, authorized by, or endorsed by FIFA.

8.3 User content

The predictions you record are your content. By submitting them, you grant Predikt a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use them solely to operate the service (calculate points, show them to other pool users after a phase closes, anonymize them if you delete your account).

9. Service availability

We strive to keep the Platform available 24/7 but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be unavailable due to:

Scheduled maintenance
Unexpected technical failures
Third-party provider outages (Supabase, Vercel, etc.)
Force majeure events

In case of a critical outage during the World Cup, we will do everything reasonable to restore service quickly and communicate status by email if applicable. We are not responsible for points not awarded promptly due to technical failures; we will correct them manually as soon as possible.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Colombian law:

Predikt is provided "as is", with no express or implied warranties
We are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use (or inability to use) the Platform
We are not liable for disputes among users about arrangements outside the Platform (cash prizes, etc.)
We are not liable for the accuracy of sports results obtained from external sources
We are not liable for user-generated content (display names, comments)

If for any reason our liability is established, it is capped at the amount you have paid for using the Platform — which is zero Colombian pesos (COP $0) since the service is free.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

We will notify you by email at least 15 days before they take effect
The updated version will always be available at /terminos
Continued use of the Platform after the effective date implies acceptance
If you disagree, you can delete your account before the effective date

12. Termination

You may terminate your use of Predikt at any time by deleting your account from your profile.

We may terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

You lose access to all your pools
Your personal data is deleted per the Privacy Policy
Your predictions are anonymized to preserve historical rankings

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or use of the Platform will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Bogotá D.C., Colombia, except for consumer rights that cannot be waived.

14. General provisions

14.1 Severability

If any clause of these Terms is declared invalid or unenforceable, the rest remain in full force.

14.2 No waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of future enforcement.

14.3 Assignment

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to a third party (e.g., in case of project sale) with prior notice.

14.4 Communications

Official communications will be made by email to the address registered on your account. Keeping that email updated is your responsibility.
